Milton Keynes

Digital Project Manager

£40,000 (£30,000 pro rata)

Job overview

Stratos is looking for a part time Digital Project Manager to lead the delivery of bespoke digital projects across the agency.

This role sits across client, creative and development. We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, asking the right questions and turning ideas into well-defined digital solutions.

You’ll lead discovery, shape clear technical specifications and guide projects from early scoping through to launch. Along the way, you’ll keep clients informed, teams aligned and standards high.

We’re a collaborative, no-ego team. We care about clarity, quality and doing things properly. This role plays a key part in protecting that.

You must be able to travel to our studio in Milton Keynes.

What you’ll do

The role

  • Lead discovery sessions and translate business objectives into clear, detailed functional specifications
  • Challenge assumptions and identify risks early
  • Scope projects accurately and contribute to quoting
  • Manage internal resource schedules across development and creative teams
  • Own project timelines, milestones and delivery planning, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget and to the expected standard
  • Monitor and uphold SLAs
  • Work closely with developers to validate feasibility before builds begin
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure UX and technical functionality align
  • Lead structured QA and acceptance testing prior to launch
  • Support go-live planning and post-launch monitoring
  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the build phase
  • Confidently handle client support queries, gathering clear information before escalating where required
  • Maintain clear documentation and project tracking

We’d also expect you to:

  • Contribute to improving our internal processes
  • Help evolve our specification templates and documentation standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and delivery quality

You’ll work closely with the Digital Director on some projects and independently lead others.

Required experience

Our projects are primarily built on WordPress using bespoke themes and custom functionality, so proven experience delivering custom WordPress builds, including projects involving third-party integrations such as CRMs, APIs or marketing platforms, is essential.

  • Proven ability to write clear, detailed functional specifications
  • Experience running client workshops and extracting structured requirements
  • Experience scoping projects and contributing to commercial discussions
  • Comfortable managing internal resource allocation
  • Experience leading structured QA and acceptance testing
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable challenging clients when needed
  • Able to prioritise effectively across multiple projects

The package

  • A flexible, hybrid working policy
  • Company-wide bonus scheme
  • Free parking (permit supplied by Stratos)
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
  • Personal development plan
  • Free eye care exams and a contribution toward glasses if required for work
  • Regular team nights out (and in). Bring your Mario Kart skills
  • The latest tech, and software
  • Central MK office
  • And of course… the office dog

How to apply:

Send us your CV using the form below.

You’re applying for a role that sits at the heart of our digital delivery, so we want to see how you think, how you structure information and how you run projects. Show us the digital builds you’ve managed, the specifications you’ve written and the challenges you’ve helped untangle. Be clear about your role in each project — what you defined, what you owned and how you kept things moving. Keep it sharp and relevant.

We review every application carefully and will be in touch if your experience feels like a strong match. If you don’t hear from us this time, it doesn’t mean we didn’t value your experience, it simply means it wasn’t the right fit right now. We may close applications early if we receive a high volume of strong candidates, so don’t sit on it.

Make it considered. Make it yours.
