With three thought-provoking talks we covered the every-changing landscape of artificial intelligence. Phil dove into the world of photography, using AI image-generative tools to explore and complete historic images. Mat took a different approach, delving into the technical side of AI and how this can be both beneficial but an ungoverned territory. To finish, Matthew explored how, instead of artificial intelligence replacing artists, both human and machine can work together.
Phil Hill is a photographic artist, lecturer, writer, and researcher based in the UK whose practice is concerned with narrative interpretation, family, and memory. Hill’s projects have been published and exhibited internationally.
Prior to his current role at Aiimi, Matt ran the content management delivery team for nine years, he has over 20 years’ experience in the technology industry, with a background in delivering compliance solutions such as records management to regulated industry and the public sector.
Matthew Maxwell has beat a circuitous path through most corners of the design world: from old fashioned scenery and sets in Hollywood, some of the first (and many of the worst) digital products with London design agencies, to interactive events, exhibitions, and art projects across the world.
