Make it your place.
A place to live, a place to visit, to feel inspired and to find yourself, Letchworth Garden City needed a new identity that embodied this feeling of freedom and discovery. Something to capture its rich history and push towards a pioneering future, where everyone within the community felt welcome and represented. For a brand that needed to grow and evolve with the town itself, we knew we had to dive deep into creating its story – one which we’re very proud to tell you now.

The first Garden City
For such a historic achievement, it only felt right to honour this within the brand itself. Taking inspiration from Barry Parker, who is known as ‘the unsung hero of the Arts & Crafts Movement’ and who was chief consultant architect at Letchworth Garden City. Using his handwriting and boutique style to inspire our logo and look & feel.

A focus on experience
The graphics purpose was to ignite the senses and immerse the viewer, drawing inspiration from different cultures, arts & crafts and Letchworth Garden City’s own history.

Creating a brand which could celebrate a variety of areas, backgrounds and activities

The location photography needed to highlight the warmth and brightness of the airy spaces, whilst capturing the cosy charm of the nightlife.
The lifestyle photography opted for a POV (point-of-view) approach, to immerse the viewer into the moment itself, so they could truly feel part of it.

Our illustrated portraits transformed people from the community into local hero’s, visually becoming part of the tapestry and history of the town
