If we learnt anything from the pandemic, it was how to stay connected through the digital world. We applied this thinking when our Agency partner Wirebox approached us to support them on a project for Middlesex University, who wanted to showcase their 2023 Graduates online. Collectively, we designed and developed a website that both pushed the boundaries of their brand and brought their students to the forefront. Creating a space that allowed them to showcase their talent, and interact with each other in a similar way to real life.
Bolder than ever
We saw this digital space as an opportunity to push the brand into new areas, using impactful typography, eye-catching work and dynamic layouts. Something that reflected the passion for the creative arts.
Giving talent a platform
This site wasn’t only for fellow students but for potential employers as well. So we ensured that every inch created an opportunity to get noticed, by highlighting work created by the graduates and to allow for employers to contact students direct.
Perfect at every size
We all know that people favour different devices, and so it was important that the site performed perfectly at every ratio. Seamlessly shifting layouts to make sure every experience was flawless.
But it wasn’t all about functionality, it was about the human side of things…
Every student had a unique voice which was amplified by their own digital space
It was important for us to make sure that every student felt equally valued and represented, and we never lost sight of this throughout the entire process.
The site was such a success that Middlesex University has used it for their graduate shows ever since – post pandemic
The new website allowed for a unified approach from all programme leaders and showed an increase in the uptake of graduates showcasing their work. The MDX team fully supported our approach of pushing the guidelines to new boundaries. It was an absolute pleasure, and the graduate’s work is fantastic, make sure you check it out!
